BPU Minutes of BPU Council Meeting
in Cluj - Napoca 2 of September 1997
The Council has taken the following decisions:
1. Approve the new Constitution of BPU. The members of the Council signed the Constitution.
2. By proposal of Prof. Akdeniz President of BPU for new President of BPU unanimously Prof. Christos Zerefos has been elected asfor President of BPU for a period of three years.
3. By proposal of Prof. Ch. Zerefos as Vice-President of BPU has been unanimously elected Prof. Matey Mateev.
4. By proposal of Prof. Ch. Zerefos as Scientific Secretary of BPU has been unanimously elected ass. Prof Eustathios Polychroniadis.
5. By proposal of Prof. Ch. Zerefos as Executive Secretary of BPU has been unanimously elected ass. Prof Athanatios Lambros.
6. By proposal of Prof. Ch. Zerefos has been unanimously elected ass. Prof. Nizamedin Erduran as General Coordinator for BPU Scientific projects.
7. The National Societies has been asked to nominate one Executive Committee member until 15 of October 1997.
8. By proposal of the Union of the Physicists in Bulgaria the next General Conference BPU-4 will be held in Bulgaria in the year of 2000.
9. The Council would like to thank Prof Gediz Akdeniz for his activities as a President of BPU.
