A PhD degree candidate must have an MSc degree in a field relevant to the PhD subject. The selection of candidates is performed by a committee of 3 professors which evaluates the applications. A supervising committee consisting of 3 professors is assigned to the candidate and during the doctoral studies the candidate is involved in different research & education activities and projects. Requirements - successful completion: 1)Attending successfully 3 courses offered by the Graduate Programs of the Physics Department 2)Publication of PhD results in at least 2 papers in peer-reviewed international scientific journals
3)Presentation of results in international scientific conferences 4)Public presentation of the thesis defended before a 7-member committee, which evaluates the innovation and originality of the subject and the accomplished results.
